Greater Dandenong City Council won the 2025 Cities Litter Award at the 43rd Annual Keep Australia Beautiful Victoria Tidy Towns & Cities Sustainability Awards. These awards honour environmental achievements and community spirit across Victoria.
The awards highlight initiatives that empower people, change behaviours, protect the environment, reduce waste, engage youth and Indigenous communities, and build resilience in local communities.
The Council’s Waste Services team was awarded for their campaign, Bin It or Take It Home With You, which educates residents on proper litter disposal and raises awareness of its environmental impact.
