The Sacramento Kings are preparing to face the Minnesota Timberwolves at Golden 1 Center. Center Domantas Sabonis remains questionable after missing two games due to a left rib contusion suffered against the Denver Nuggets.
The Kings (3-6) come off a heavy 125-95 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder in an NBA Cup matchup. They continue to deal with roster issues, with Keegan Murray still sidelined by a thumb injury. Zach LaVine, Malik Monk, and Nique Clifford have also missed time this season.
The Timberwolves (5-4) enter the contest following a dominant 137-97 win over the Utah Jazz. Anthony Edwards recently returned to the lineup after sitting out four games with a hamstring injury.
The Kings must find ways to slow down Anthony Edwards and Julius Randle, the Timberwolves’ leading offensive threats.
Sacramento continues to struggle defending inside. In their last game, Oklahoma City outscored them 60-34 in the paint. The Kings currently rank 27th in the NBA in opponent points in the paint, giving up an average of 54.9 per game.
With Sabonis’s status uncertain and Murray still unavailable, Sacramento needs healthy rotations and better offensive flow to compete effectively at home.
"The Kings are listing Sabonis as questionable again as they prepare to play the Minnesota Timberwolves."
The Kings aim to rebound at home against Minnesota but must overcome injury setbacks, tighten paint defense, and contain Randle and Edwards to stand a chance.
