Jetstar is expanding its Adelaide network with the relaunch of flights to Melbourne Avalon, featuring promotional fares starting at $29. Beginning on 26 March 2026, the airline will offer a convenient travel option for South Australians heading to Victoria.
The low-cost carrier plans to operate up to seven return flights each week, adding approximately 109,000 budget-friendly seats per year. The route reconnects South Australia with Victoria’s Surf Coast, Bellarine Peninsula, and Geelong, marking the return of a service last available before the pandemic. Flights will be operated by Jetstar’s Airbus A320 aircraft.
To celebrate the launch, Jetstar is providing limited-time one-way fares from $29, available from 11:30am (ACDT). The sale mirrors the airline’s introductory prices from over twenty years ago and is expected to sell out quickly.
“These new flights to Melbourne Avalon Airport provide South Australians with greater opportunities to take advantage of our low fares and are part of a significant increase in flights in and out of Adelaide this year,” said Jetstar CEO Stephanie Tully. “It’s now easier and more affordable than ever to access Victoria’s popular Surf Coast, Bellarine Peninsula wine region, Geelong, and Melbourne.”
