Radio 2 DJ Sara Cox is undertaking a demanding 135-mile journey for Children In Need. The Bolton-born presenter starts a five-day trek from Kielder Forest near the Scottish border, aiming to reach Pudsey in Leeds by Friday, November 14.
This challenge follows in the footsteps of her Radio 2 colleague, Paddy McGuinness, who raised £10 million last year by completing a tough cycling event. Unlike Paddy, Sara will complete her challenge entirely on foot.
Throughout her journey, Sara will carry the Pudsey bear, symbolically bringing "Pudsey to Pudsey."
“We’re talking 135 miles of hills, moors and blisters – but I am ready for the challenge, and I will absolutely be giving it everything I’ve got!” Sara shared with the BBC.
“When they picked me to get Pudsey to Pudsey, I was honoured and horrified in equal measure.”
The event supports this year’s Children In Need campaign, encouraging donations and awareness.
Sara Cox embarks on a 135-mile foot marathon over five days, carrying the iconic Pudsey bear to raise funds and awareness for Children In Need 2025.
