The Dandenong Branch team from Scania’s company-owned network in Victoria has claimed victory in the Australian National Top Team competition for the second consecutive year. Their success secures them a trip to Bangkok in early 2026, where they will represent Australia in the Asian Regional Finals. Only two teams from that round will qualify for the World Finals in Sweden.
Seven teams from Scania’s Australian company-owned branches competed in the National Finals following a knockout round that included eight additional teams from across the country.
“Top Team is a global Scania initiative that celebrates and develops the professionalism of our service teams, strengthening technical capability, efficiency, and collaboration within our workshops,”
These were the words of Stefan Weber, Director of Aftersales at Scania Australia, who supervised the competition hosted at Scania’s Campbellfield head office in late October.
Under the guidance of captain Chris Chilver, Team Dandenong once again achieved top honours. Chilver described this year’s contest as the toughest of the four he has participated in during his career.
“We had good team spirit; we weren’t discouraged by a low score at one station. It was clear from the start it would be a tough challenge, so we focused and assigned each member tasks matching their strengths. I think we worked really well together,”
he said after the event.
The Dandenong Scania team claimed back-to-back national titles and will represent Australia in the 2026 Asian Finals, showing resilience and teamwork in a demanding competition.
