Mail Service to Canada to Resume Next Week

Mail shipments to Canada will restart next week despite the ongoing rolling strike at Canada Post. A spokeswoman for the Bermuda Post Office (BPO) confirmed that mail shipments to Canada will resume on Monday, but delays may still occur due to disruptions.

“The BPO appreciates the public’s patience and co-operation during this time.”

Mail delivery from Bermuda to Canada was suspended in late September because of a nationwide strike at Canada Post. Last month, the Canadian Union of Postal Workers shifted from a national strike to a rotating strike, allowing mail services to recommence.

Local Post Office Closure Notice

The Bermuda Post Office also announced that all local post offices will close at noon tomorrow for a staff event.

“The BPO apologises for any inconvenience this early closure may cause.”

Summary: Mail shipments from Bermuda to Canada will resume Monday despite ongoing strike disruptions, with possible delivery delays and a local post office closure announced.
