Godolphin's well-bred colt, Nation's Hope, made an impressive debut, earning the TDN Rising Star rosette at Kempton in the British EBF Future Stayers Maiden Stakes, a one-mile race.
Just two days after his sire Ghaiyyath celebrated a first Group 1 winner, Nation's Hope, a homebred bay and a half-brother to multiple Grade I-winning globetrotter Nations Pride (by Teofilo), impressed by outclassing 11 rivals. This performance makes him the third Rising Star for his sire, Dubawi.
He now joins notable names like Mandanaba, third in the G1 Poule d'Essai des Pouliches, and Opera Ballo, runner-up in the G2 Joel Stakes, on the Rising Star roll of honour.
“He's a good type, I thought he did well on debut and I was very pleased with him,” commented winning jockey James Doyle. “He broke nicely and we got that nice trailing position where I could teach him a little bit behind horses. Once we got into the straight, I popped him out and he showed a really nice turn of foot.”
Nation's Hope emerged as a highly promising two-year-old with a commanding debut, reinforcing the success of his sire Dubawi and Godolphin’s breeding program.
