After concluding her demanding one-woman show The Picture of Dorian Gray on the West End, where she portrayed 26 different characters, Sarah Snook planned for a restful break. Feeling "pretty burnt out," she did not expect to dive back into television so soon. However, a meeting about the TV adaptation of the suburban thriller All Her Fault changed her mind.
Snook shared with TheWrap how the project immediately captured her interest:
“They told me the premise, they told me the plot, and they told me the twist … [and] it was one of those things, like, ‘Oh, man, yeah, I guess I’m not resting now,’”
“There’s no way I can say no to this. This is too delicious.”
Adapted from Andrea Mara’s novel, All Her Fault centers on Marissa Irvine, played by Snook, who discovers her son missing during a playdate. The unfolding kidnapping saga forces Marissa to reevaluate her relationships and those she calls family.
This role represents Snook’s first television work post-Succession, pulling her back into the TV landscape with a compelling and complex character.
Author's summary: Sarah Snook embraces a new complex TV role in All Her Fault, reigniting her career after a challenging theatrical run and her acclaimed work on Succession.
