Initial Struggles of the Series
Show acknowledged that the series initially struggled to find its rhythm. “Well, the first season was really touch and go,” he said. “I don’t think any of us felt really confident. We felt pretty good because it was [executive producer] Aaron [Spelling], but our ratings were not very good.”
“The show wasn’t very good, I don’t think. So it was the second season, and it took off and when it did take off, it took off like a rocket.”
