American commentator Megyn Kelly has sharply criticized Meghan Markle for continuing to use her British royal titles while living in the United States. Kelly described the situation as absurd, pointing out the irony of Meghan maintaining ties to the same institution she previously accused of racism.
"She is dining out over here on the British Royal titles, it's so absurd, the family she called racist, the people she called racist."
Speaking with the Daily Mail during the launch of her new project, The Megyn Kelly Channel on SiriusXM, Kelly remarked that dislike for the Duchess of Sussex seems to unite people across political lines in America.
"I'll go out to dinner and have leftists come up to me and say, 'I disagree with you on literally everything except Meghan Markle.' It shows me she's one of the few things that brings us all together in our loathing for this person."
The remarks came as Kelly celebrated the growth of her media enterprise with the addition of her SiriusXM channel. Her comments drew attention to the ongoing cultural fascination with Meghan and Prince Harry, whose life in Montecito, California, continues to attract public interest.
The sun sets over Montecito as debates about the couple’s role and reputation remain ongoing both in the United Kingdom and across the Atlantic.
Megyn Kelly denounces Meghan Markle for exploiting royal titles, calling her a rare figure uniting Americans across the political spectrum in shared dislike.
