Megyn Kelly delivered a harsh critique of the Republican Party following significant defeats on Election Day. She accused conservatives of lacking direction without former President Donald Trump’s leadership.
On “The Megyn Kelly Show” aired Wednesday afternoon, Kelly reflected on the election results, which included notable Democratic victories in California, New Jersey, Virginia, and New York City.
“The Republican party needs to get its s–t together ASAP,” Kelly stated frankly in her episode.
Kelly sarcastically noted how Republicans spent recent weeks focusing on minor distractions instead of core issues, referencing commentary from Sean Davis of the Federalist.
“I’m really glad we spent the past couple of weeks, as Sean Davis of the Federalist put it, policing some young person’s group chat. What a podcast host said and what the head of a think tank over at Heritage had to say. I’m really glad that the Republicans devoted so much time to that. That was a great move.”
She criticized the party’s apparent enjoyment of being in a losing position, emphasizing a lack of strong leadership beyond Trump himself.
“The Republicans like to lose. They enjoy when they are embattled and in a losing position and complaining. They do it really well.”
Kelly further added:
“Republicans don’t know how to win. They don’t know who to run. They don’t know what to do when daddy’s not there to fly them across the finish line. And that’s just been so obvious.”
Megyn Kelly bluntly calls out the Republican Party's failure to strategize and lead effectively without Trump, highlighting deep organizational issues after Election Day losses.
