Summerwater, a thriller set in Scotland and starring Dougray Scott and Shirley Henderson, has released its first trailer. Based on Sarah Moss's 2020 novel, the series is described as "thrilling and compulsive" and promises intense storytelling.
The story unfolds in a loch-side holiday park where simmering tensions among five families rise after a fire breaks out at the camp. The mystery questions which family might be responsible.
"There's an ordinary violence in all of us. We're capable of such terrible things," says Scott's character, hinting at underlying conflicts.
John Donnelly adapted the novel for the screen, while Robert McKillop and Fiona Walton direct the six-part series.
