Aryna Sabalenka will face Elena Rybakina in the WTA Finals final, with both players competing for their first year-end title and a record payout. The two top players in Riyadh emerged victorious in thrilling three-set semifinals on Friday.
Elena Rybakina secured her spot in the final after a comeback win over Jessica Pegula, 4-6, 6-4, 6-3. This victory marks her 10th consecutive match win.
Aryna Sabalenka joined Rybakina by defeating Amanda Anisimova 6-3, 3-6, 6-3. Neither finalist has lost a match in the tournament, both finishing the round-robin stage undefeated at 3-0.
Both finalists will compete not only for their maiden year-end trophy but also for a guaranteed record payout of $5.235 million awarded to an unbeaten champion.
