Lawrence described the hauntings she experienced in New Orleans and Charlotte, North Carolina, as “really bad.” During the shooting of her 2022 film Causeway in New Orleans, she moved between several locations before settling in a hotel.
The Unexplained Hotel Incident
One day, while in bed at the hotel, Lawrence recalled hearing a housekeeper enter her room. As she sat up, the housekeeper apologized for waking her and then left. It was only later that Lawrence realized the door was deadbolted, making it impossible for anyone to enter.
“I don't know, I just come from a world where we believe women,” Lawrence said when discussing the strange event with the podcast hosts.
