Natalie Cassidy Revisits Bullying Experiences
Natalie Cassidy has spoken again about her experience being bullied at school. Months after naming Paloma Faith as one of her bullies, the EastEnders actress, 43, reiterated the claims during an interview on Katherine Ryan’s What’s My Age Again podcast.
Bullying Tied to Early Success
Natalie suggested that the bullying might have been linked to her early career in acting, having joined the EastEnders cast at just 10 years old. She described her favorite place as the soap set, contrasting it with her school experience, where jealousy from peers made life difficult.
“There wasn’t anywhere else I wanted to be. Maybe because when I wasn’t there, school was difficult, people were jealous,” Natalie said. “You know, there was bullying that went on. So I always just wanted to be there because it was so fun and I was surrounded by nice people.”
Connection to Paloma Faith
While she did not directly name Paloma Faith during this recent podcast, Natalie had previously accused the Celebrity Traitors star of bullying her at their shared secondary school in London. Both attended Islington Green School (now the City of London Academy Islington). Natalie grew up in Islington, and Paloma in Stoke Newington.
