Jalen Green is nearing his season debut. The Phoenix Suns aim to even their record at 4-5 against the Los Angeles Clippers at 9:00 p.m. ET on Thursday and anticipate the return of one of their key scorers.
After missing the preseason and the first eight regular-season games due to a strained right hamstring, Green is listed as probable for Thursday, according to the NBA’s official injury report. His comeback could lighten Devin Booker’s offensive load and help the Suns regain rhythm after a slow start.
Before Green’s expected return, Suns center Mark Williams highlighted the impact of Green’s partnership with Booker, emphasizing how their combined scoring ability will ease pressure on the frontcourt.
“I think everybody knows both of those guys can score the ball at a really high level,” Williams said. “Defenses have to pay attention to both of them, so I think that'll make our lives as bigs a little bit easier. That's just one more person you’ve got to worry about.”
Green joined the Suns over the summer as part of the major seven-team trade that sent Kevin Durant to the Houston Rockets, marking one of the most notable transactions of the offseason.
Mark Williams expressed confidence in Jalen Green’s return, predicting that his scoring partnership with Devin Booker will ease frontcourt play and strengthen the Suns’ offense.
