Helen Mirren to Receive 2026 Cecil B. DeMille Award

Helen Mirren has been selected as the recipient of the Golden Globes’ 2026 Cecil B. DeMille Award, a lifetime achievement honor recognizing exceptional and lasting contributions to cinema.

The award will be presented on January 8, 2026, during the “Golden Eve” primetime special broadcast on CBS and Paramount+. The event will celebrate both of the Globes’ annual honorary awards — the DeMille Award for film and the Carol Burnett Award for television achievement. The Burnett Award honoree has not yet been announced.

A Storied Career in Film and Television

Mirren earned an Academy Award for Best Actress in 2007 for her portrayal of Queen Elizabeth II in The Queen and has received four Oscar nominations in total. She has won three Golden Globes among 17 nominations, alongside Emmy and Tony Awards recognizing her versatile body of work.

Across six decades, her film credits include Caligula, Excalibur, White Nights, The Cook, The Thief, His Wife & Her Lover, Gosford Park, Calendar Girls, Elizabeth I, and Golda.
