Dame Helen Mirren, acclaimed actress and producer, will be honored with the 2026 Cecil B. DeMille Award, as announced by the Golden Globes on Wednesday.
The award presentation will take place during the new annual primetime special Golden Eve, which celebrates recipients of the Cecil B. DeMille and Carol Burnett Awards. The broadcast will air on CBS and stream on Paramount+ (ET/PT).
Golden Eve will feature in-depth interviews and career retrospectives dedicated to these honorees, recognizing individuals from film and television who have made meaningful and lasting contributions both on and off screen.
Viola Davis and Ted Danson were honored with the 2025 DeMille and Burnett Awards, respectively.
Mirren’s distinguished filmography includes The Queen, The Madness of King George, Red, the Fast & Furious franchise, Gosford Park, Trumbo, and Hitchcock. Over her decades-long career, she has earned numerous awards, including an Oscar, five Emmys, SAG, BAFTA, and a Tony Award. In 2003, she was appointed a Dame of the British Empire.
The Cecil B. DeMille Award, established in 1952, honors figures in filmmaking and entertainment who have achieved extraordinary impact, with past recipients including Walt Disney, Audrey Hepburn, Sidney Poitier, Elizabeth Taylor, Robert Redford, Meryl Streep, Tom Hanks, and Oprah Winfrey.
