Macklin Celebrini contributed a goal and two assists as the San Jose Sharks won convincingly against the Seattle Kraken with a 6-1 score at Climate Pledge Arena on Wednesday.
"Our penalty kill was really good tonight. So that helps," Sharks coach Ryan Warsofsky said. "I thought our game got better as the game went on."
"Disconnected in a bunch of different areas," Kraken coach Lane Lambert said. "Our structure wasn't good enough tonight."
Celebrini opened the scoring at 1:08 of the first period after receiving a pass from Tyler Toffoli and beating Daccord with a wrist shot from the slot.
"I was just in the slot and just there to put it in," Celebrini said. "[Smith and Toffoli], they did a great job, getting on their D and forcing a turnover."
Winterton’s goal tied the game at 16:30 of the first period, but the Sharks pulled away decisively afterward.
The Sharks' cohesive play, strong penalty kill, and reliable goaltending led them to a commanding 6-1 victory over the Kraken, showcasing improved performance and teamwork.
