Netflix Teases Animated Spinoff "Stranger Things: Tales From '85"
Netflix announced a new animated spinoff of Stranger Things titled Stranger Things: Tales From '85, set to premiere in 2026. The series is set between Seasons 2 and 3 of the original show and follows the main characters during a cold winter in Hawkins.
Story and Setting
The storyline takes place in 1985, focusing on Eleven, Mike, Max, Lucas, Dustin, Will, and Hopper as they investigate a paranormal mystery unfolding in their town.
Production and Creative Team
The spinoff comes from showrunner Eric Robles alongside Stranger Things creators Matt and Ross Duffer. Ross Duffer shared,
"With animation there's really no limits. Erica and his team can just go wild, and they have."
