Bradley Beal returned to Phoenix on Thursday, Nov. 6, 2025, and spoke to the local media for the first time since agreeing to a buyout in mid-July and joining the Los Angeles Clippers. He admitted he wasn’t sure what story would come from his time with the Suns but acknowledged there was one to tell.
As a key figure in the Suns’ difficult decline over the past two seasons, Beal used the months since his departure to reflect on what went wrong. Despite the team’s struggles and his own uncertain future at the time, he chose not to share specific details about the behind-the-scenes events.
“You reflect for sure. Everybody did their ‘what if’s’ but you can’t live in the past, you can’t live in those moments. Obviously, we could have had something special, but it didn’t happen. Didn’t work, and we all moved on.”
Beal spoke as someone who has already moved on and recognized the team’s failure to meet expectations, including himself, Devin Booker, and Kevin Durant.
“It’s probably gonna be a big ‘what if?’ story forever but at the end of the day, everybody has a story, everything happens for a reason and I’m excited with where I am and I’m sure Book’s excited for his team and I’m sure K is excited for his situation.”
Bradley Beal reflects on the Suns' missed potential but emphasizes moving forward positively with new opportunities.
