The Beatles biopics officially cast Saoirse Ronan, Anna Sawai, Aimee Lou Wood, and Mia McKenna-Bruce as the wives of the Fab Four. These four actresses play Linda McCartney, Yoko Ono, Pattie Boyd, and Maureen Starkey, respectively.
“The Beatles – A Four-Film Cinematic Event” is an ambitious series directed by Sam Mendes. Each of the four films will focus on one member of the Beatles: John Lennon (Harris Dickenson), Paul McCartney (Paul Mescal), George Harrison (Joseph Quinn), and Ringo Starr (Barry Keoghan). The story will follow their rise from Liverpool unknowns in the early 1960s to becoming the biggest band in the world, concluding with their breakup in 1970.
Although Variety confirmed the casting earlier, the deals were finalized this week, prompting Sony Pictures to make the official announcement.
“Maureen, Linda, Yoko and Pattie are four fascinating and unique figures in their own right — and I’m thrilled that we’ve managed to persuade four of the most talented women working in film today to join this amazing adventure,” said director Sam Mendes.
This historic film series offers an intimate look at the Beatles through the eyes of their wives, highlighting their individual stories and impact.
