Thailand Welcomes Miss Universe 2025 Contestants Including Cambodia
Thailand welcomed over 100 contestants on Sunday as the 74th Miss Universe pageant kicked off in Bangkok, including the entry from Cambodia.

Held under the theme "The Grand Universe: The Power of Love, The Power of Thailand," the pageant is hosted by Thailand for the fourth time. The activities will continue until November 21 across Bangkok, Phuket, and Pattaya, aiming to promote Thailand’s tourism and culture.
Controversy Over Cambodia’s Participation
The Cambodian contestant, Thai Neary Socheata, known as Fiyata, arrived in Bangkok despite the Cambodian license holder ELEVENTO9 Company announcing Cambodia’s withdrawal the day before. The withdrawal was attributed to “unresolved situations between Cambodia and Thailand.”
Fiyata’s decision to participate independently sparked debate online in both countries.

She was warmly received by Cambodian fans at Suvarnabhumi Airport and expressed gratitude on social media.
