Once again, the world witnesses the signing of a ceasefire agreement between Israel and the Palestinian resistance, and once again, history repeats itself. While hopes for reconstruction in Gaza emerge, deep scepticism among Palestinians remains, rooted in years of unfulfilled promises and repeated betrayals.
Historically, Israel has consistently failed to honour the agreements it has signed. For the Zionist state, each truce often serves as a tactical pause — a diplomatic manoeuvre designed to regroup and plan the next stage of occupation and aggression.
“For the Zionist entity, every truce is merely a tactical pause, a diplomatic manoeuvre to reorganise the occupation and prepare for the next aggression.”
The latest ceasefire proved no different. Within days of its announcement, Israeli forces, acting under orders from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, carried out intense strikes on the Gaza Strip. The assaults resulted in the deaths of more than one hundred Palestinians, including 52 children, 23 women, 4 elderly people, and 7 individuals with disabilities. The attacks were reportedly justified by what critics describe as false accusations that Hamas had targeted Israeli troops.
“Hamas denied the accusations and denounced the violation as a deliberate attempt to sabotage the agreement.”
The leaders attended the Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit in Egypt on October 13, 2025, in a renewed effort to stabilise the region, though hopes for lasting peace remain fragile.
