Join Us to Commemorate Remembrance Sunday
Derby’s residents are invited to participate in this year’s Remembrance Sunday commemorations to honor the sacrifices of armed forces and emergency services members on Sunday, 9 November 2025.
Event Details
- From 10:45 AM, local veterans and youth groups will parade through the city centre to the Market Place, accompanied by the Salvation Army Band.
- At 10:55 AM, a brief service will be led by the Lord Bishop of Derby and assisted by the Very Rev'd Dr Peter Robinson, Dean of Derby.
- A two-minute silence will be observed during the service.
- Wreaths will be laid at the War Memorial by civic dignitaries and representatives from local organizations.
Additional Information
The Order of Service is available for download, and the ceremony will be streamed on a large screen in the Market Place for public viewing.
"Unlike in recent years, troops from the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers 148 Divisional Support Company will not be parading; however, several local youth and veteran organisations will participate as usual."
