The UK's largest corporate defined benefit pension scheme, the BT Pension Scheme, has connected its 250,000 members to the pensions dashboards ecosystem, approaching the government's statutory connection deadline.
The £33 billion BT Pension Scheme is the first client of Procentia to connect using its IntelliPen administration platform.
Jill Mackenzie, chair of the BT Pension Scheme, said: “Pensions dashboards have the potential to transform the way people think, feel, and engage with their pensions. We’ve long supported the programme and look forward to the next phase of the rollout.”
The Pensions Dashboards Programme (PDP) announced that about 75% of pension records within the dashboard's scope are now connected.
With less than a year remaining before the 31 October 2026 statutory deadline, more than 60 million workplace and personal pension records have been linked, alongside tens of millions of state pension records.
The BT Pension Scheme's recent connection marks a significant step within the UK’s pension system digitization, aiming to enhance pension access and engagement for millions of members.
